The Oratorio Society of New Jersey was established in 1952 and welcomes singers of all ages from throughout Northern New Jersey.

​

• Community-based choral group specializing in the performance of choral masterpieces.

• Singers of all ages from throughout Northern New Jersey.

• Membership: The chorus has included more than 100 singers in some seasons.

• Volunteer-based organization: Members contribute their time and effort to support OSNJ activities beyond rehearsals.

• Community support: OSNJ has a long history of support from the Essex County Division of Cultural Affairs.

ALL SINGERS WELCOME!

We do not hold auditions, but we ask that singers be able to read music and have some prior choral singing experience.

​

• Full-year dues: $140

• Half-year dues: $70

• Fall 2026 music: $30

• Fall 2026 rehearsals: Tuesdays, beginning September 1, 2026, from 7:30–9:30 p.m. at Union Congregational Church in Montclair.
